THE WHITE CHAIRS
白椅子
青海平安棉纺厂，建于1971年，是国家在西部建设的国有纺织企业。鼎盛时期，厂区生产、生活设施完整，形成相对独立的“小社会”。
80年代，工厂在后山修建“西海度假园”，一度曾是当地颇具规模和影响力的旅游度假地。
1999年棉纺厂破产，西海度假园随之废弃。我给散落园中的白椅子拍下这组照片。
Qinghai Ping’an Cotton Mill was established in 1971 as a state-owned textile enterprise in western China. At its peak, the factory had a complete system of production and living facilities, forming a largely self-contained community.
In the 1980s, the factory built Xihai Resort on the hillside behind the complex. It was once a sizable and well-known holiday destination in the area.
The cotton mill went bankrupt in 1999, and Xihai Resort was subsequently abandoned. I took this series of photographs of the white chairs scattered throughout the grounds.
